19th Mar – Day 1 Part 1 – Exhausted in HCMC

胡志明市聖母大教堂

Still in the airport. 6 hours to go. Thinking about it, after travelling for so many times, this was surprisingly my 1st time to sleep alone in the airport. Crazy, man.

And when I was connected to WiFi, the first thing I saw was: messages from my senior colleagues……
Damn it. The work is always there, to bother you, even when I am on vacation, even when I am travelling!I hate my life. Is this the problem of me, or is this the problem of this world?

People say, spend all the local currency before you leave. Fortunately, I knew one day I would be back, so the Singaporean dollars I kept is right on the money now!

After 6 years of hardship, I took the second flight to Ho Chi Minh City. But this fucking Visa made me wait for an hour! Unbelievable!

After some discussions just the night before with my couchsurfing host, I decided not to stay at her home, cause her home is really far away. So, I took the bus to downtown, and immediately found the first hostel I saw. OK, it was called Hong Kong hotel.

Well it wasn’t really a hotel, I was sure, cause I asked for the price: USD8 for a night. Well, cheap enough, so I immediately reserved for a night.

Then I went to PHO2000 immediately, with the hunger I accumulated. Ah huh ~Nice taste (when you’re hungry, even a piece of shit would taste amazing),but why is this cup of iced coffee so bitter!?

Then I walked around the whole day, visited the most tourist spots: Bến Thành Market (Chợ Bến Thành)、Saigon Central Post Office (Bưu điện trung tâm Sài Gòn)、Municipal Theatre (Nhà hát Lớn Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh)……
